  • Swap or update creative without asking every publisher to manually replace files

Hosted Ad Server and Self Hosted Ad Server

There are also two common deployment models.



Hosted Ad Server

Self Hosted Ad Server

These terms are often mixed up so it is important to be precise.

Ad Network

Bundles inventory from many publishers and sells that bundle to advertisers. It is essentially a broker that packages supply.

Ad Exchange
